I want the Mini, the Zastava, the Polo and the Monza—I hadn't realised how good-looking they were from the rear.

M-B van with a gasoline engine and Monza are really tempting...

I have driven a Monza, quite close to that - A2 gen. so with the more rounded nose, and 4speed GM auto, but the same engine, the same color combo, and mostly the same cockpit. Swiss car originally. I liked it quite a lot more i imagined i would, especially the auto was pretty good, and even with that slusher the engine felt lively. However, this was a very short and slow-speed test drive, so I haven't got much of an idea about manners at highway speeds, but it shouldn't be that bad as not to be curable by some suspension upgrades and better tires.

And this looks a sound buy too. What's not to like?

Any idea how much a shitty Porsche 944 is over there? Running?

See for yourself. Here's a link to sub €5000 944s on just one of the major site in Germany. The cheapest runner was €2000, but at the €3k-€4k range you've got a wider selection. h ttp://m.mobile.de/auto/search.html?dam=0&md=12&mk=20100&od=UP&p=%3A5000&s=Car&sb=p&vc=Car

Danke! One of my dreams is to move to German Rhineland area and DD a 944 over there. Don't ask why.
